Words from  Jim Crouch, of West Point Skydiving Adventures, and USPA Director of Safety & Training:

“Since the faces changed every year as to who helped to organize the boogie, I really can’t provide any names of organizers who helped with the boogie, but Carol (Clay) has been the one constant in more than 33 years there at the DZ.”

“It has been a challenging year for us at West Point.   Changes brought on by the airport authority have made it impossible to host any boogies, and nearly impossible to conduct regular skydiving operations there.   It is sad to see skydiving end there, after 49 years of continuous jumping, but it is time for us to move on and I am researching several new possibilities for a drop zone location. The jumpers at West Point have always put on a terrific Halloween Boogie, and I was glad to get a call from Dave Matchett with an offer to take over the boogie for us, while I search for a new home.    I have no doubt that Delmarva will create a great event, and the drop zone will be thoroughly trashed by the end of the boogie!    …     Dave, make sure there are plenty of large plastic trash bags, you will need them Sunday morning!”
